Job summary

Atlantic Health System is seeking a Radiology MRI Technologist to create cross-sectional images of patients' bodies using MRI equipment. The role emphasizes patient positioning, safety, image quality, and data entry under radiologist protocols.

The candidate will monitor patients, operate scanner controls, and ensure safe conduct around the magnet per safety guidelines. Qualified applicants will have a Bachelor's Degree in Radiography or related field and MR Certification with BLS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Radiography or related field required.
• MR Certification and BLS are required.

Responsibilities

• Position patient on examining table and place appropriate coil according to protocol.
• Explain MRI procedure using microphone to communicate with patient.
• Enter patient data, anatomy, orientation, and entry position into computer.
• Operate scanner controls to set scan sequences and adjust transmitter/receiver.
• Monitor patient safety and comfort via control room windows and CCTV.
• Review images on display to ensure quality of pictures.
• Input data on keyboard to photograph images.
• Warn staff about metal hazards around the magnet.
