Job summary

Atlantic Health System's Morristown Medical Center seeks an MRI Technologist to create cross-sectional images of patients' bodies using MRI equipment. You will position patients, select coils, monitor safety, and ensure high-quality images through proper technique and data entry.

You will work closely with Radiologists, follow protocols, communicate with patients, alert staff about magnet safety, and perform related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Radiography or related field.
• State RT license and MR certification.
• BLS certification or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Position patients on the examination table and place coils per protocol.
• Demonstrate use of microphone for patient-technologist communication.
• Enter patient data, anatomy area, orientation, and entry position into the system.
• Operate MRI scanner commands and adjust transmitters/receivers in the computer.
• Monitor patient safety and comfort via control room window/CC TV screen.
• Review images on display to ensure quality and accuracy of scans.
• Warn staff about magnet safety precautions and magnetic hazards.
