Job summary

Atrium Health University City in Charlotte, NC is seeking an MRI Technologist I to perform procedures per departmental protocols, operate MRI scanners, and manage associated equipment, including IV contrast injectors and monitoring devices.

The role requires verifying orders with radiologists, preparing patients, collecting medical history, administering contrast, and maintaining safety standards; weeknights with on-call rotation apply. Sign-on bonus offered for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• ARRT-recognized Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology program graduate.
• MRI ARRT registry eligible or ARMRIT program within 1 year of hire.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Verify orders with Radiologist and resolve discrepancies.
• Identify and assist patients with explanations of procedures.
• Collect medical history and review EMR for pertinent data.
• Operate MRI scanner and related equipment per protocol.
• Administer IV contrast per departmental guidelines.
• Ensure radiation and patient safety; monitor patient condition during scans.
