Job summary

Atrium Health's Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, NC is seeking an MRI Technologist I to operate MRI scanners and support patient imaging procedures within the radiology department.

Hours are 40 per week, weekdays 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm with holiday and call rotation. A sign-on bonus is offered for eligible candidates, with responsibilities including patient prep, safety, and image quality optimization.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ARRT-recognized radiologic or nuclear medicine program.
• MRI registry must be obtained within 1 year of hire; ARRT registry eligible or ARMRIT program required.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Operates MRI scanners and related equipment per department protocols.
• Verify orders with Radiologist and obtain patient consent and history as needed.
• Prepare patients and explain procedures; document information accurately.
• Perform IV contrast administration and monitor safety during exams.
• Maintain safety and sterile technique; assist during invasive procedures as needed.
• Document contrast administration and manage equipment and supplies.
