Job summary

Atrium Health in High Point, NC is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform MRI exams, prepare patients, and ensure high-quality imaging while collaborating with Radiology staff. The role requires ARRT MRI registry eligibility and a current BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ARRT-recognized radiologic or nuclear medicine program with MRI ARRT registry eligibility.
• MRI registry must be obtained within 1 year of hire.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Verify orders and ensure accuracy before performing exams, consulting Radiologist for discrepancies.
• Identify patients and prepare them, documenting procedures clearly.
• Interview patients, review EMR for history, and correlate data with the exam.
• Perform MRI scans and assist during invasive procedures while maintaining sterile technique.
• Follow radiation safety and infection control policies and report any equipment issues.
