Job summary

Advocate Health in Charlotte, NC seeks an MRI Technologist I for a part-time weekend role. The technologist will operate MRI scanners, prepare patients, and ensure safety and protocol adherence while assisting in diagnostic imaging. Teamwork with radiology staff is essential.

The position offers a sign-on bonus and a schedule of 24 hours per week, with varied shifts to support the new bed tower expansion at Atrium Health facilities.

Qualifications

• MRI ARRT registry eligible or ARMRIT program required.
• CPR certification required.
• Graduate of an ARRT-recognized Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine program.

Responsibilities

• Operate MRI scanners and related equipment per protocols.
• Identify patients and verify orders with radiologist before exams.
• Explain procedures to patients and obtain consent when needed.
• Prepare patients and document medical history and exam details.
• Administer IV contrast per departmental protocols.
• Maintain image quality and consult radiologist for abnormal findings.
• Document procedures and charges in the MAR and system.
