Job summary

Advocate Health's Atrium Health Cabarrus in Concord, NC seeks an MRI Technologist to perform MRI exams, verify orders with Radiologists, and ensure patient safety and comfort throughout procedures.

This role requires ARRT MRI registry eligibility or ARMRIT, BLS certification, and the ability to work a 1800–0630 schedule. The department emphasizes radiation safety, documentation, and collaboration with medical staff.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ARRT-recognized Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
• MRI registry must be obtained within 1 year of hire. BLS required.
• Demonstrates knowledge of growth and development and patient populations.

Responsibilities

• Examine requests and verify orders with radiologist before performing exam.
• Identify and assist patients; explain procedures.
• Interview patients for medical history; review EMRs for pertinent history.
• Perform MRI and assist during invasive procedures.
• Maintain radiation safety and document contrast administration.
• Operate radiology computer systems and MAR.
• Provide basic patient care and respond to emergencies.
