Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking an MRI Technologist for a 7 on/7 off graveyard shift at McKay-Dee Hospital. Responsibilities include performing diagnostic MRI exams, ensuring image quality, patient safety, and adherence to protocols. Sign-on bonus up to $7,500 and relocation assistance may apply.

The successful candidate will have ARRT MR or ARMRIT certification, BLS, IV competency within 30 days, and demonstrated MRI expertise in multiple areas with strong patient care skills.

Qualifications

• ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT or cross-training in MRI is required.
• BLS certification for healthcare providers is required.
• IV competency within 30 days of hire is required.
• Proficiency in at least three MR-related areas totaling 80% workload.
• Complete at least five cases per specialty with sign-off by a lead MRI tech.

Responsibilities

• Maintain ARRT/MR competence and comply with safety guidelines.
• Verify patient identity, orders, and prepare patient for MRI exam.
• Perform MRI exams per protocol; review images for quality and accuracy.
• Ensure MRI safety and maintain a safe environment.
• Complete studies within acceptable time while preserving patient care.
• Assist and instruct students and MRI staff in protocols and positioning.
• Provide patient education and address concerns; maintain comfort.
• Practice infection control and sterile techniques.
• Operate equipment and information systems to ensure image quality.
• Keep accurate records of patient information and procedures.
