Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking an MRI Technologist for the McKay-Dee Hospital in Utah. This 7 on, 7 off graveyard role runs 8pm–6am and requires ARRT MR or ARMRIT certification with BLS and IV competency.

You will perform diagnostic MRI exams, ensure image quality, and support safety protocols. The ideal candidate has strong patient care, teamwork, and the ability to work in a fast-paced setting with a focus on accurate imaging and workflow efficiency.

Qualifications

• ARRT MR or ARMRIT certification or ARRT(R) cross-trained in MRI.
• BLS for healthcare providers required.
• IV competency within 30 days of hire.
• Level II candidates: MR/ARMRIT, additional elective MRI skills and pass-offs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain ARRT/ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT competency in clinical/technical functions.
• Prepare patients and verify orders.
• Perform MRI exams per protocol and review image quality.
• Adhere to MRI safety guidelines and maintain a safe environment.
• Complete studies within acceptable time while ensuring patient care.
• Assist and instruct students/colleagues on protocols and equipment.
• Provide patient education and comfort.
• Maintain infection control and sterility.
• Document patient information and procedures, report issues.
