Job summary

Intermountain Health’s McKay-Dee Hospital is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform diagnostic MRI exams, ensure image quality, and deliver patient-centered care in a fast-paced setting.

The role requires ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT credentials, BLS, IV proficiency, and experience with MRI protocols. This graveyard 7-on/7-off position offers schedule 8pm-6am with eligible sign-on bonus and relocation assistance. Ogden, UT area, competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• ARRT(R)(MR) or ARMRIT cross-trained in MRI
• BLS certification for healthcare providers
• IV competency within 30 days of hire
• Proficiency in 3 of MR/ARMRIT/other MRI specialties
• Five cases per specialty with skills pass-off

Responsibilities

• Maintains ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT competency in MRI functions.
• Verifies patient identity, orders, and prepares patient for exam.
• Performs MRI exams per protocol with attention to image quality.
• Adheres to MRI safety guidelines and maintains safe environment.
• Completes studies within time limits without compromising care.
• Instructs students and other MRI techs in protocols and equipment.
• Provides patient education and ensures comfort.
• Practices infection control and sterile technique.
• Operates equipment and information systems to ensure quality images.
• Keeps accurate records of patient information and procedures.
• Follows protocol for medical necessity, coding, charges, consents, QC, and reporting failures.
