Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a part-time MRI technologist at the GCMG Imaging Center: Kenilworth - Radiology: MRI. The role is PRN with pay of $42.00 per hour.

Responsibilities include performing MRI exams, preparing patients, and coordinating with radiologists. The ideal candidate will hold a two-year AMA approved Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine program, ARRT/NMTCB MRI certification or ARMRIT/ARRT registry eligibility, and BLS.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited two-year AMA approved program in Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology or active enrollment in a ARMRIT or ARRT registry eligible program required.
• ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology, ARRT or NMTCB for Nuclear Medicine with advanced registry from the ARMRIT or ARRT in MRI required within one year of hire.
• BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Exams requests and verifies orders; refers to Radiologist before performing exam.
• Identify and assist patients; explain procedures; document on worksheets.
• Interview patients for medical history; review EMRs; record history on requisitions.
• Take responsibility for the exam from start to dictation of results.
• Prepare and administer IV contrast per protocol; record contrast type and amount.
