Qualifications

• Education
  • Associate's Degree in a Related Field
  • OR Certificate of Completion in Radiologic Technology
• Licenses / Certifications
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days – American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Registered in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR) within 1 year – American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • OR Certified MRI Technologist within 1 year – American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT)
• Work Experience 1+ years in Radiology
• Specialized Knowledge & Skills Positive attitude, willingness to improve the work environment, ability to perform multiple tasks while coordinating patient flow and technical procedures requiring independent judgment and initiative.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate acceptable imaging quality standards by critiquing positioning, technical factors, and alignment. Review patient data for accuracy, quality and completeness.
• Ensure patient, visitor and environmental safety. Report safety events immediately, including near misses.
• May perform duties of MRI Lead or Imaging Coordinator when absent.
• Meet productivity levels as established by department benchmarking. Assist other areas during downtimes to maintain productivity.
• May be required to perform duties of other modalities within the department for which licensure is held.
• Comply with job descriptions of cross‑trained modalities also performed within the department.
• Research assignments as needed.
• Perform MRI procedures and assigned invasive procedures, including IV gadolinium administration, monitoring for adverse reactions, and image acquisition in PACS/RIS.
• Review radiology orders for completeness and accuracy, and manage medical necessity documentation.
• Assist in instruction of students and new staff as necessary.

Compensation and Benefits
