Job summary

Atlantic Health's Newton Medical Center is seeking an MRI Technologist to create cross-sectional images of patients' bodies using MRI equipment. You will position patients, select coils, operate the unit, and monitor safety and image quality.

Responsibilities include entering patient data, executing scan sequences, communicating with patients, and ensuring clean documentation. Requires a Bachelor's in Radiography, state RT license and BLS; MR certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Radiography Program or related field.
• State RT License / BLS.
• MR Certified is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Position patients and coil to match protocol.
• Operate MRI equipment and adjust sequences.
• Enter patient information and scan parameters into the system.
• Monitor patient safety and comfort via control room and CCTV.
• Review images for quality and repeat as needed.
• Communicate with patients using the microphone.
• Alert staff to magnet hazards.
• Document procedures and imaging data.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
