Job summary

Atlantic Health System is seeking an MRI technologist to create cross-sectional images using MR equipment for diagnostic purposes. You will position patients, operate coils, and ensure patient safety during scans.

The role requires a radiography degree and RT license with BLS; MR certification is preferred. This on-site position at Newton Medical Center supports a broad imaging team within a leading New Jersey health system.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Radiography or related field required.
• State RT License and BLS certification required.
• MR Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Positions patient on examining table and places coil near area of interest per protocol.
• Monitors patient safety and comfort via control room and CCTV.
• Enters patient data, anatomy, orientation, and entry position into computer systems.
• Inputs scan commands and adjusts transmitter/receiver settings for imaging sequences.
• Observes image quality on display and photographs images as required.
• Alerts staff about magnet safety regarding metal objects.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
