Job summary

Atlantic Health System is seeking an MRI technologist to perform MRI procedures across our radiology services. You will operate MRI equipment, ensure patient safety, and maintain high-quality imaging standards in a multi-site hospital network located in New Jersey.

The role emphasizes patient interaction, strict safety protocol adherence, and collaboration with Radiology leadership to deliver safe, efficient imaging care.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Radiology or graduate of an accredited radiology program.
• State RT License for NJDEP, or MR Certification through ARMRIT.
• BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Position patient on exam table and apply the specified coil per protocol.
• Demonstrates use of microphone for patient-technologist communication during examination.
• Enter patient history, area to be scanned, orientation, and entry position into the imaging computer.
• Key commands to specify scan sequences and adjust transmitters/receivers in the system.
• Monitor patient safety and comfort from the control room and via video feed.
• Review images on screen to ensure diagnostic quality of pictures.
• Enter data on the keyboard to photograph images.
• Alert staff to the magnet hazard of wearing or carrying metal.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
