Job summary

Atlantic Health System in New Jersey is seeking a Radiologic Technologist specializing in MRI to create cross-sectional images for diagnostic purposes using MRI equipment. The role involves positioning patients, applying coils, operating computer controls, and monitoring safety throughout exams.

You will document patient data, select scan sequences, verify image quality, and communicate with staff to ensure accurate, timely imaging.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Radiography Program or related field.
• MR Certified / BLS.

Responsibilities

• Positions patient on examining table and places specified coil near area of interest.
• Operates MRI equipment controls to set scan sequences and adjust transmitters/receivers.
• Monitors patient safety and comfort via control room and video screens.
• Ensures image quality by reviewing images and selecting appropriate protocols.
• Communicates safety precautions to staff regarding metal in magnet areas.
