Job summary

Atlantic Health System in Newton, NJ is seeking an MRI technologist to acquire cross-sectional MR images per radiologist specifications. You will position patients, select coils, and operate MRI equipment while ensuring patient safety and comfort.

The role requires a Radiography degree with an RT license or BLS, with MR certification preferred. This position emphasizes image quality and adherence to protocols within a collaborative radiology team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Radiography or related field required.
• State RT License or BLS required.
• MR Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Position patient and coil, follow radiologist protocols.
• Communicate with patient during examination using microphone.
• Enter patient history and scan details into computer.
• Set scan sequences and adjust transmitter/receiver settings.
• Monitor patient safety and comfort via control room view and CCTV.
• Review images to ensure quality of pictures.
• Enter data on keyboard for image capture.
• Warn staff about metal around magnet.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
