Job summary

Atlantic Health System is seeking a per diem MRI Tech for the Radiology Unit at Newton Medical Center in Newton, NJ. Shifts vary as needed. The role requires MR imaging protocol expertise, MR safety, and proficiency with IV contrast administration.

Qualifications include ARRT certification, BLS/CPR, 2 years MRI experience (Siemens preferred), and AMA-approved radiologic technology education. EPIC and PACS experience is used for image management.

Qualifications

• Completion of a 24-month AMA approved School of Radiologic Technology required
• 2 years MRI experience, Siemens preferred
• Must demonstrate knowledge of MR imaging equipment; including setup, utilization, basic troubleshooting and proper care for all equipment
• Must be competent with IV skills and preparing/administering contrast media

Responsibilities

• Promote a culture of healing while accurately interpreting and performing all MRI imaging protocols
• Practice in accordance with state, federal and professional standards
• Abide by MR Safety standards and evaluate MR scans for technical quality
• EPIC and PACS will be used to manage patient workflow and transmit images for interpretation
• Must be competent with IV skills and preparing/administering contrast media
