Job summary

Atlantic Health seeks an MRI Technologist to create cross-sectional images using MRI equipment, ensuring patient safety and image quality. You will position patients, operate coils, enter data, and monitor exams under Radiologist direction.

Qualification includes an Associate's degree in Radiology or equivalent, NJ RT license or MR certification, and BLS. This role is based in Morristown, NJ with Atlantic Health’s network of facilities.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Radiology or graduate of an accredited radiology program.
• State RT License for ARRT candidates through NJDEP.
• MR Certification through ARMRIT.
• BLS through AHA.

Responsibilities

• Positions patient on examining table and places specified coil near area of interest following radiologist protocols.
• Demonstrates use of microphone to communicate with patient during examination.
• Enters data such as patient history and scan area into the computer.
• Keys commands to specify scan sequences and adjust transmitters/receivers.
• Observes patient through control room and monitor safety and comfort.
• Views images on display to ensure image quality.
• Keys in data to photograph images.
• Alerts staff to metal danger near the magnet.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
