Job summary

Atlantic Health System is seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to perform cross-sectional imaging for diagnostic purposes using MRI equipment. Responsibilities include patient positioning, safety monitoring, image acquisition, and data entry as directed by radiologists.

The role requires an Associate’s degree in Radiology, state licensure (NJ RT or ARMRIT MR), and BLS certification. Atlantic Health provides extensive team benefits and supports continuous professional development.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Radiology or graduate of accredited radiology program required.
• State RT License for ARRT candidates through the NJDEP, or MR Certified through ARMRIT.
• BLS through AHA.

Responsibilities

• Position patient and coil as requested by the Protocols.
• Demonstrates use of microphone to communicate with patient and technologist.
• Enter patient history, area to be scanned and orientation into the computer.
• Key scan sequences and adjust transmitters/receivers in the computer.
• Monitor patient safety and comfort from control room via video feed.
• Verify image quality on the display to ensure diagnostic pictures.
• Document data and instructions in the imaging system.
• Alert staff about magnet safety and metal hazards.
