Job summary

Atlantic Health System is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform cross-sectional imaging using MRI equipment. The role involves patient positioning, coil handling, data entry, and image quality assessment to ensure diagnostic accuracy.

Responsibilities include maintaining patient safety, communicating with patients and staff, and adhering to protocol-led scanning procedures within a Magnet Hospital setting at Morristown, NJ. A radiography degree and valid MR certification are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in radiography or related field.
• State RT license, MR certification or BLS required.
• Experience with MRI procedures preferred.

Responsibilities

• Position patient on table and apply coil per protocol.
• Communicate with patient during examination.
• Enter patient data and scan parameters into computer.
• Set scan sequences and adjust equipment settings.
• Monitor patient safety and comfort via control room display.
• Verify image quality and documentation of results.
• Record images and equipment data for records.
• Warn staff about metal hazard in magnet area.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
