Job summary

Atlantic Health System seeks an MRI Technologist to create cross-sectional images using MRI equipment for diagnostic purposes at Hackettstown Medical Center.

Responsibilities include patient positioning, coil selection, data entry, image acquisition, safety monitoring, and ensuring image quality. MR certification and BLS are required to qualify for this role within our radiology team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Radiography Program or related field.
• MR Certified / BLS.

Responsibilities

• Positions patient on examining table and places specified coil near area of interest per radiologist.
• Demonstrates use of microphone for patient-technologist communication during examination.
• Enters data such as patient history, area scanned, orientation, and entry position into the computer.
• Keys commands to specify scan sequences and adjust transmitters/receivers.
• Monitors patient safety and comfort from control room via video/monitor.
• Views images to ensure picture quality on the display.
• Inputs data on the camera keyboard to photograph images.
• Alerts staff about the danger of wearing or carrying metal around the magnet.

Education
