Job summary

Anduril Industries in Costa Mesa, CA, is seeking a seasoned aerospace structural engineer to own MRB dispositions for metallic and composite structures on Group 5 air vehicles and missiles. You will perform static strength, fatigue, damage tolerance analyses and deliver defensible disposition packages to support airworthiness and certification.

You will collaborate with Quality, Manufacturing, Design and M&P; travel up to 50% to vendor sites and production facilities, and help scale MRB methods

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in aerospace structural analysis with MRB/disposition experience.
• Strong understanding of static strength, fatigue, damage tolerance, and load path analysis.
• Proficiency with finite element analysis tools and hand calculations.
• Experience substantiating repairs for metallic and composite aircraft structures.
• Excellent written communication skills and ability to work under schedule pressure.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% to vendors and sites.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the engineering authority dispositioning MRB non-conformances for metallic and composite structures.
• Perform structural substantiation analyses—static strength, fatigue, damage tolerance, buckling.
• Write clear, defensible disposition packages supporting airworthiness and certification.
• Develop and improve MRB methods, tools, and standard dispositions as production grows.
• Coordinate with Quality, Manufacturing, and M&P to resolve non-conformances quickly.
• Conduct trade studies to evaluate repair vs. rework vs. scrap decisions.
• Provide on-the-floor engineering support during builds and travel as needed.
