Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking an experienced Aerostructures Engineer to own MRB dispositioning for Group 5 air vehicles, performing static and dynamic analysis with hand methods and FEA tools. The role involves clear disposition packages, collaboration with QA, manufacturing, and design, and occasional travel to sites.

You will contribute to design validation, repair substantiation, and process improvements while working in a fast-paced defense technology environment in Costa Mesa.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years of aerospace structural analysis experience, MRB liaison or stress engineering.
• Strong static strength, fatigue, damage tolerance, and load-path analysis knowledge.
• Proficiency with FEA tools (NASTRAN) and hand calculations.
• Ability to travel up to 50% to vendors and sites.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the engineering authority dispositioning MRB non-conformances for primary and secondary structures on Group 5 air vehicles.
• Perform structural substantiation analysis—static strength, fatigue, damage tolerance, and buckling—using hand calculations and FEA to support dispositions.
• Write clear, defensible disposition packages that restore airworthiness and meet certification requirements.
• Develop and improve MRB work methods, tools, and standard dispositions to scale production.
• Coordinate with Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, Design, and M&P to resolve non-conformances quickly without compromising structural integrity.
