Job summary

Plug Consulting is seeking a Mortgage Solutions Engineer in New York City to own the technical customer journey across the Mortgage vertical, spanning pre-sales, implementation, onboarding and ongoing adoption.

You'll lead integrations, run discovery sessions with lenders, configure REST API connections and present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. This hybrid, customer-facing role offers significant ownership and equity in a fast-growing fintech.

Qualifications

• 3-7 years of experience in customer-facing technical roles such as solutions engineering, sales engineering, implementation or technical account management.
• Experience within mortgage, banking, insurance or financial services is required.
• Hands-on experience scoping, implementing or demonstrating technical integrations with customers.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs and modern SaaS integrations.
• Excellent communication skills with both technical and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Act as the technical and product expert during customer conversations and pre-sales.
• Lead discovery and solution-design sessions with mortgage lenders and financial-services customers.
• Scope, configure and implement customer integrations.
• Lead onboarding, training and adoption across SaaS, POS and LOS integrations.
• Work with REST APIs and answer technical integration questions directly with customers.
• Run product demonstrations and translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
• Gather customer feedback and influence product priorities.
• Build documentation, implementation resources and repeatable processes as the Mortgage Solutions function scales.
