Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking a Mortgage Servicing Customer Service Representative in Detroit, MI for a contract-to-hire arrangement. You will handle high-volume inbound calls and serve as the primary contact for borrowers, agents, and financial institutions, addressing payments, escrow, and servicing inquiries.

The role requires at least 1 year of customer service experience and strong communication skills. This on-site/hybrid position offers hourly pay between $17.00 and $18.50 with benefits

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of recent customer service experience.
• Call center experience preferred; front desk or administrative experience may be considered.
• Comfortable working on a Windows PC and navigating multiple software applications.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Reliable transportation and ability to work on-site as required.

Responsibilities

• Handle approximately 4560 inbound customer calls per day, with calls averaging 27 minutes.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for mortgage servicing inquiries from borrowers, insurance agents, and financial institutions.
• Assist customers with questions related to mortgage payments, escrow accounts, homeowners insurance coverage, and other servicing matters.
• Research customer inquiries using multiple systems and accurately document interactions according to policies.
• Provide timely, accurate, and professional customer service while meeting quality, productivity, and compliance expectations.
• Communicate professionally with borrowers, insurance providers, and financial institutions.
• Deliver a positive customer experience through professionalism, empathy, and effective communication.
