Job summary

TEKsystems is hiring a Mortgage Servicing Customer Service Representative in Detroit, MI. The role handles inbound calls, assists with mortgage payments, escrow, and insurance, and serves as the main contact for borrowers and institutions.

You will research inquiries across systems and document interactions per policy. Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of customer service, with call center experience preferred.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of recent customer service experience.
• Call center experience is preferred.
• Front desk or administrative experience may be considered.
• Retail or food service experience alone does not meet the experience requirement.
• Comfortable working on a Windows PC and navigating multiple software applications.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Comfortable handling phone calls throughout the workday and following up by email when needed.
• Reliable transportation and ability to work on-site as required.

Responsibilities

• Handle inbound customer calls and document interactions according to policy.
• Serve as main contact for mortgage servicing inquiries from borrowers, agents, and institutions.
• Assist customers with mortgage payments, escrow, insurance, and other servicing matters.
• Research inquiries using multiple systems and record interactions accurately.
• Provide timely, accurate, and professional service while meeting quality and compliance standards.
• Communicate professionally with borrowers, insurers, and financial institutions.
• Deliver a positive customer experience through empathy and clear communication.
