Job summary

Truist, a leading financial services company, seeks a rate lock specialist to support Retail and Correspondent channels. The role ensures accurate rate lock requests, fast go-to-market changes, and risk mitigation in unstable markets.

You will interact daily with mortgage loan officers and Correspondent Account Managers to ensure correct pricing and to produce accurate closing documents and advisories. Strong attention to SLAs and collaborative problem solving are essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Secondary Marketing experience and/or mortgage knowledge and customer service experience.
• Knowledge of regulatory changes, internal compliance requirements and guidelines.
• Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, problem solving and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Provide rate lock, rate renegotiations, float downs and rate extension support via email and phone center for internal and external clients.
• Identify potential issues with technology installs or incorrect loan pricing scenarios.
• Develop internal and external rate sheets daily with Capital Markets Trade Desk and run test files for accuracy.
• Execute pricing margin changes when needed.
• Manage changes in Empower including documentation approvals following CRIM guidelines.
• Support management on moderately complex projects and pricing data research.
• Meet/exceed SLAs for response times and maintain high phone evaluation scores with mortgage loan officers.
• Perform duties with outside investors or housing agencies including locking and maintaining loan pipelines.
• Provide oversight on duplicate loan locks by reviewing daily reports for proper hedge positions.
• Produce bid tapes for Correspondent lenders when features are not supported by technology.
