Job summary

Idaho Housing and Finance Association is seeking an organized Loan Officer Assistant to support Loan Advisors in the mortgage process and help ensure files move toward closing. This role focuses on documentation, status updates, and coordinating third-party services.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, 1–2 years of mortgage lending experience, and knowledge of mortgage processes. Associates or bachelor's degree preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong communication, organization, time management, and attention to detail.
• 1-2 years of mortgage lending experience required.
• Knowledge of mortgage lending regulations, liens, and related processes.

Responsibilities

• Collect and follow up on outstanding loan documentation and conditions
• Review documentation for completeness and submit conditions for underwriting
• Order and track appraisals, title work, employment verifications, insurance, and other third-party services
• Maintain accurate loan files, documentation, and status updates within the loan origination system
• Coordinate assumption and release of liability requests from intake through completion
• Provide borrowers with timely updates, documentation requirements, and next steps
• Other job duties as assigned
