Job summary

CMG Financial is seeking a skilled Licensed Loan Officer Assistant in Boise, Idaho. This role supports a high-producing mortgage team, handling front-end activities from lead through pre-approval and contract.

You will apply guideline knowledge and research to position loan files for success while collaborating with Loan Officers and referral partners. The ideal candidate brings mortgage lending experience, a strong understanding of agency guidelines, and a willingness to obtain required

Qualifications

• Significant mortgage lending experience with strong understanding of agency/investor guidelines.
• Active NMLS license or willingness to obtain licensing with company support.
• Enjoy digging into guidelines and researching solutions rather than giving up.
• Strong income-calculation skills, including self-employed, variable, and nontraditional income.
• Understand AUS findings and the underlying guidelines behind them.
• Comfortable reviewing borrower income, assets, credit, liabilities, and qualifying ratios.
• Curious and resourceful; research when you don't know the answer.

Responsibilities

• Review mortgage applications and supporting docs for accuracy and completeness.
• Calculate borrower income and qualifying ratios, including complex scenarios.
• Review assets, credit, liabilities, and documentation to identify qualification issues.
• Run, review, and interpret AUS findings.
• Research agency, investor, and product guidelines to determine loan eligibility and structure.
• Identify documentation requirements and items needed for pre-approval.
• Assist Loan Officer with evaluating and structuring loan scenarios.
• Prepare files for accurate pre-approval and position for processing.
