Job summary

Newrez is seeking a Mediation Litigation SPOC to establish contact and negotiate with borrowers, investors, and agents, resolving at-risk mortgages. The role involves reviewing and approving loss mitigation deals, often through attorneys, to achieve workable solutions for all parties.

The position requires 5+ years in loss mitigation or mortgage servicing, strong Excel/Word skills, and the ability to analyze income, tax, and collateral value.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' Loss Mitigation, Collections, or related mortgage servicing experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication with borrowers and attorneys.
• Ability to analyze financial statements, tax returns, and collateral value.
• Licensure readiness: Mortgage Loan Originator License.
• Proficient with Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Handles delinquent mortgage products (60+ days) per guidelines.
• Negotiate loss mitigation options to minimize foreclosure.
• Coordinate property inspections, appraisers, and real estate agents.
• Review title searches to protect investor liens.
• Underwrite borrower's income using paystubs, tax documents, and statements.
• Mentor junior Loss Mitigation Specialists and ensure compliance.
