Job summary

Newrez is seeking a Loss Mitigation Fulfillment Specialist I in Houston, TX to manage timely processing of Modification, Partial Claim and Deferment documents within the Loss Mitigation workflow. The role supports underwriting, modification processing, and recordation across jurisdictions.

Responsibilities include guiding Cash for bookings, performing pre-foreclosure reviews, and producing certification documents to progress foreclosure actions while ensuring regulatory alignment.

Qualifications

• A 4-year college degree in Business Administration or another analytical field preferred.
• 1 years’ experience in Mortgage Servicing or an Accounting field preferred.
• Excellent Mathematical Skills and knowledge of Loss Mitigation guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Timely intake and system documentation of Modification, Partial Claim and Deferment documents.
• Provide instruction to Cash department for booking Modifications, Partial Claims and Deferments.
• Perform pre-foreclosure reviews for qualifying accounts to ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines.
• Produce Loss Mitigation Certification documents for foreclosure actions.
• Conduct pre-sale reviews prior to foreclosure and document findings.
• Send Modification documents to the appropriate jurisdiction for recording within required timeframes.
• Send recorded collateral documents to document custodian per investor guidelines.
• Review in-flight transferred loan statuses and communicate clearly.
