Job summary
Ascendo Resources seeks a detail-oriented Loan Assistant / Mortgage Loan Processor to support residential mortgage lending from application to closing. You will review borrower documentation, coordinate with loan officers and underwriters, and ensure files meet compliance and quality standards.
The ideal candidate has 2+ years in residential mortgage processing, familiarity with Encompass LOS, and strong organizational and customer-service skills to manage multiple files in a fast-paced
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in residential mortgage loan processing or related roles.
Responsibilities
- Assist Loan Officers with processing and administration of residential mortgage loan applications.
- Collect, review, and verify borrower documentation including income, assets, credit reports, tax returns, and employment information.
- Prepare and maintain accurate loan files through origination and underwriting.
- Coordinate with borrowers, loan officers, underwriters, title companies, and others to facilitate timely closings.
- Order and track appraisals, title reports, insurance documents, and other required loan documentation.
- Monitor loan pipelines, follow up on conditions, and ensure deadlines are met.
- Assist in clearing underwriting conditions and preparing loan packages for final approval and closing.
- Ensure compliance with internal lending policies and applicable mortgage regulations.
- Provide administrative and operational support to the residential lending team.
