Covita Lending is seeking an experienced mortgage loan processor to support loan officers and navigate complex underwriting requirements. The role emphasizes accuracy, efficiency, and collaboration across teams to deliver timely loan submissions.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in processing or underwriting, strong knowledge of LOS systems (Encompass, Calyx Point), and excellent communication skills to manage borrower expectations and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 3 years underwriting or processing experience.
• Proficient in DU/DO and LP; LOS expertise required.
• Strong time management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Pre-Underwrite and ensure complete initial loan file.
• Request additional doc for cash, credit, and income.
• Submit high-quality loans for preliminary underwriting.
• Post-Underwrite: clear conditions and review CLA.
• Communicate with LP2/LO and liaison with third parties.
• Monitor post-fund conditions and funding authorization.
• Attend weekly team meetings and log communications.
• Collaborate to improve submission checklists.
