Job summary

D.R. Horton, Inc. is seeking a Mortgage Loan Originator to oversee business development, loan origination, and relationship management with homebuyers and clients. The role involves guiding junior MLOs, interviewing applicants, and ensuring smooth loan processes across builder communities.

Responsibilities include presenting loan products, managing pipelines, collaborating with Operations, and meeting regulatory timelines while delivering exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 1–2 years of related experience and/or training.
• Licensed Mortgage Loan Originator as required by state.
• Proficiency with MS Office and email.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance and support to junior MLOs as assigned by Branch Sales Manager and Branch Manager.
• Interview mortgage applicants to understand their goals and educate them on financing options.
• Answer questions and provide updates to buyers and individuals involved in the loan process with high accessibility.
• Review reports and notes in origination software and CRM system.
• Collaborate with Operations to facilitate efficient loan processes.
• Provide disclosures to applicants within regulatory timelines.
• Maintain daily leads and market company products to potential business sources.
• Manage the loan pipeline from application to funding to ensure a smooth process.
• Ensure borrower documentation is accurate and address discrepancies.
• Present loan products in sales meetings and with Sales staff in builder communities.
• Develop mortgage leads in builder communities and real estate offices.
• Provide weekend coverage at builder communities and grand openings.
