D.R. Horton, Inc. is seeking a Mortgage Loan Originator to promote business development, originate loans, and manage relationships with customers and clients within its Financial Services Branch.

The role requires educating applicants on financing options, maintaining CRM records, managing the loan pipeline, and presenting loan products in builder communities, with travel and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university.
• 1–2 years of related mortgage experience or training.
• Must have a vehicle and a valid driver’s license.
• Licensed Mortgage Loan Originator as required by state.
• General mortgage banking understanding (locks, underwriting, timelines).
• Proficiency with MS Office and email.

Responsibilities

• Interview mortgage applicants to educate them on financing options and goals.
• Be accessible to buyers and involved parties for updates and questions.
• Maintain reports and notes within origination software and CRM.
• Review new leads daily and contact them to earn their business.
• Daily pipeline management from application to funding.
• Present loan products in sales meetings and builder communities.
• Provide disclosures timely and comply with regulations.
• Work overtime and travel overnight as needed.
• Develop sales leads for mortgages in builder communities and real estate offices.
