D.R. Horton, Inc. is seeking a Mortgage Loan Originator to oversee loan origination, client relationships, and business development. The role involves guiding applicants through financing options, managing the loan process, and coordinating with sales and operations to ensure timely closings.

The position emphasizes compliance with regulations, accurate documentation, and strong communication with buyers, builders, and real estate partners. A vehicle and mortgage licensure are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university.
• One to two years of related experience and/or training.
• Must have a vehicle and a valid driver’s license.
• Licensed Mortgage Loan Originator as required by state.
• General mortgage banking understanding (lock procedures, program analysis, underwriting guidelines, regulatory timelines).
• Proficiency with MS Office and email.

Responsibilities

• Interview mortgage applicants to understand goals and educate them on financing options.
• Oversee origination of loans and manage daily pipeline.
• Provide guidance to Junior MLOs as assigned by Branch Manager.
• Collaborate with Operations for efficient loan processes.
• Provide disclosures to applicants in a timely manner per regulations.
• Monitor new leads and market company products to potential sources.
• Attend loan closings when possible and ensure documentation accuracy.
