Job summary

D.R. Horton, Inc. is seeking a Mortgage Loan Originator in the Branch Department. You will oversee business development, loan origination, and relationship management with customers and clients.

Responsibilities include interviewing applicants, maintaining CRM data, managing leads, and ensuring timely disclosures in compliance with regulations. A Bachelor's degree and MLO license are required, with a valid driver's license and mortgage banking knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 1–2 years of related experience.
• Must have a vehicle and a valid driver’s license.
• Licensed Mortgage Loan Originator as required by state.
• General mortgage banking understanding (lock procedures, program analysis, underwriting timelines).
• Proficiency with MS Office and email.

Responsibilities

• Interview mortgage applicants to understand financing options and goals.
• Be accessible to buyers and involved parties for updates and questions.
• Maintain reports and notes in origination software and CRM.
• Review new leads daily and contact them to earn business.
• Manage daily loan pipeline from application to funding.
