Job summary

Mercy South in St. Louis, MO, is seeking a Monitoring Technician responsible for on-going surveillance of patient cardiac monitors and providing immediate notification of any rhythm changes to RNs and clinicians.

The role requires basic computer skills, attention to detail, the ability to multi-task, and excellent communication; candidates should be prepared to make quick decisions under pressure. Part-time schedule is 24 hours per week, 7:00 a.m.

Reviews patient information to determine normal heart rhythm pattern, current pattern and prior variances. Works cooperatively as part of a team. Part Time Days

24 hours/week

7:00a-7:30p

Education:

• High school diploma, G.E.D. and/or current Mercy coworker.
• Monitor tech course completion and/or passing score of 85% on monitor tech competency exam.

Other:

Basic computer skills. Attention to detail and ability to multi-task is essential. Excellent communication skills and ability to make quick decisions under pressure is a must.

Preferred Experience:

Experience preferred but not mandatory.

Preferred Certifications:

CRAT certification preferred.
