Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Monitoring Technician to vigilantly observe patient cardiac monitors and alert RNs or clinicians to any rhythm changes. You will review patient data to identify normal patterns and variances, collaborating closely with the care team and aligning with Mercy standards.

Responsibilities include ongoing surveillance, timely communication, and contributing to a supportive, mission-driven healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Monitor tech course completion or passing score of 85% on monitor tech competency exam.
• Ability to recognize normal vs. abnormal rhythms and communicate changes clearly.

Responsibilities

• Continuously monitor patient cardiac monitors.
• Provide immediate notification to RNs/clinicians of rhythm changes.

Reviews patient information to determine normal heart rhythm pattern, current pattern and prior variances. Works cooperatively as part of a team. Position Details:

FULL AND PART TIME POSITIONS AVAILABLE

Education: High school diploma, G.E.D. and/or current Mercy coworker.
Monitor tech course completion and/or passing score of 85% on monitor tech competency exam.
