Job summary

Mercy Hospital St. Louis Critical Care Medicine Fellowship is seeking a Monitoring Technician responsible for continuous surveillance of patient cardiac monitors and providing immediate notifications to RNs and clinicians about any rhythm changes.

The role requires teamwork to support patient care while upholding Mercy's mission and service standards. Education requirements include a high school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or current Mercy coworker.
• Monitor tech course completion and/or passing score of 85% on monitor tech competency exam.
• Demonstrates teamwork and compassion consistent with Mercy Standards and mission.

Responsibilities

• Surveil patient cardiac monitors and notify RNs/clinicians of changes.
• Review patient information to determine normal heart rhythm pattern and variances.
• Work cooperatively as part of a care team to support patient monitoring.
