Job summary

Mercy South in St. Louis, MO is seeking a part-time Monitoring Technician to provide ongoing surveillance of patient cardiac monitors and promptly notify RNs or clinicians of rhythm changes. The role supports a collaborative care team and adheres to Mercy service standards.

Typical shift is 24 hours per week, working 7:00a–7:30p at Mercy South, 10010 Kennerly Road. Candidates should have a high school diploma and basic computer skills, with CRAT certification preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, G.E.D. and/or current Mercy coworker.
• Monitor tech course completion and/or passing score of 85% on monitor tech competency exam.
• Basic computer skills.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to multi-task.
• Attention to detail and ability to make quick decisions under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patient cardiac monitors and notify RNs/clinicians of changes.
• Review patient information to determine normal heart rhythm, current pattern and variances.
• Work cooperatively as part of a team.
• Perform duties in alignment with Mercy mission, values, and Service Standards.

Reviews patient information to determine normal heart rhythm pattern, current pattern and prior variances. Works cooperatively as part of a team.
