Job summary

Amcor is seeking a Process Engineer to lead mold sampling, qualification, and process optimization for injection stretch blow molding. You will collaborate with plant technicians and quality engineers to ensure molds meet dimensional and visual specs, while driving improvements across manufacturing operations.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s in mechanical or electrical engineering with 5+ years in plastics packaging, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to train teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering preferred or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years’ processing experience in plastics packaging required.
• Experience with SPC is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Mold samplings & qualification services on new or rebuilt tools.
• Optimize molding process to meet dimensional limits and cycle times.
• Create and maintain Master Process Sheets for injection/blow molding.
• Lead project meetings and tool specification reviews.
• Train plant personnel in machine operation, process control and maintenance.
• Support manufacturing issues related to machine/process/tooling.
• Perform DOE and process capability studies to ensure standards compliance.
• Maintain data resources on packaging, machinery and processes.
• Act as technical liaison between Operations Engineering and customers.
• Travel 50% to 75% may be required.
