Job summary

Marathon Electric – Motors and Generators is seeking a Modification Center Lead to oversee daily production activities, drive continuous improvement, and coordinate with multiple teams to meet delivery goals. The role requires strong technical aptitude and safety compliance in a warehouse environment.

The candidate should have 2–5 years in production, a high school diploma or GED, and experience with ERP systems (Oracle preferred). Associates degree is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2-5 years’ experience in a production environment; Associates Degree preferred.
• Excellent electrical/mechanical aptitude with maintenance/modification experience.
• Strong critical reasoning and problem-solving abilities.
• Microsoft Office and PC skills with ability to review and update Excel spreadsheets.
• Experience using ERP Systems (Oracle preferred).
• Ability to work cross-functionally and lead teams.

Responsibilities

• Direct day-to-day activities of production personnel.
• Perform 5S audits and implement improvements.
• Review production workload and shift personnel as needed.
• Coordinate with customer service to ensure delivery commitments.
• Track department metrics (Safety, Quality, Throughput).
• Lead daily team meetings in the production area.
• Enforce safety guidelines and company policies; address issues with supervisors.
• Act as first level escalation for Technician problems.
• Ensure equipment is maintained and shutdown procedures followed.
