Job summary

Marathon Electric, part of the WEG group, seeks a Modification Center Lead to coordinate daily production activities in the modification center. The role requires coordinating with multiple parties to achieve results and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

The candidate will manage safety, quality, and throughput metrics, lead daily meetings, and ensure proper equipment shutdown procedures are followed in a warehouse environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; 2–5 years in a production environment preferred.
• Associates Degree (or equivalent) preferred.
• Electrical/mechanical aptitude with maintenance/modification experience required.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities are essential.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and Excel; ERP experience (Oracle preferred).

Responsibilities

• Direct day-to-day activities of the Modification Center production personnel.
• Perform 5S audits and implement improvements.
• Review production workload and shift personnel accordingly.
• Coordinate with customer service to meet delivery commitments.
• Track department metrics: Safety, Quality, Throughput.
• Lead daily team meetings and enforce safety policies.
• Escalate issues to supervisors and ensure equipment shutdown procedures are followed.
