Job summary

Marathon Electric is seeking a Modification Technician I to support the daily material handling for motor and generator modifications. The role emphasizes strong mechanical aptitude, safety compliance, and clear communication.

You will work in a warehouse environment, lifting up to 50 lbs, and use common pneumatic and electric tools. Candidates should have a High School diploma or GED, 1–2 years in manufacturing, and experience with electrical/mechanical repairs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong technical aptitude and knowledge of electrical/mechanical systems a plus.
• Experience with mechanical and electrical repair required.
• 1–2 years in manufacturing environment.
• Proficient in ERP systems and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Pick components and move materials for modifications.
• Stock and stage product.
• Package orders for shipment.
• Perform nameplate and quality checks on modifications.
• Maintain clean work area per 5S guidelines.
• Identify defects and report errors promptly.
• Use ERP/technical systems affecting job performance.
• Backfill teammates as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
