Job summary

WEG Company, with Marathon Electric heritage, is seeking a Modification Center Lead to coordinate daily production activities in our Indiana facility. The role demands strong technical aptitude, safety compliance, and the ability to drive continuous improvement while coordinating with multiple teams.

You will oversee direct production personnel, perform 5S audits, optimize workloads, and ensure on-time delivery, with emphasis on ERP systems and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 2–5 years in a production environment.
• Excellent electrical and mechanical aptitude with maintenance/modification experience.
• Strong problem solving and critical reasoning skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and general PC skills.
• Ability to allocate resources and make sound decisions.
• Aptitude for teambuilding and employee engagement.
• Effective written and verbal communication; results-focused.
• ERP experience, preferably Oracle.

Responsibilities

• Direct day-to-day activities of production personnel.
• Perform 5S audits and drive improvements.
• Review workload and reassign personnel as needed.
• Coordinate with customer service to meet delivery commitments.
• Track line-level metrics: safety, quality, throughput.
• Lead daily team meetings in the production area.
• Enforce safety guidelines and company policies; address discipline with supervisor.
• Serve as first escalation point for Technician-identified problems.
• Ensure equipment is maintained and shutdown procedures followed.
