Job summary

Raytheon is seeking a Systems Engineer I - Modeling Simulation & Analysis in Tucson, AZ. This onsite role focuses on creating high-fidelity simulations for missile design, validating performance, and supporting flight tests across cross-functional teams.

You will develop modeling solutions, perform trade studies, and guide junior engineers while collaborating with GNC and Signal Processing to deliver program milestones.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related STEM degree.
• Experience applying object-oriented software design and programming in C or C++.
• Experience using Python or MATLAB for evaluation of data sets.
• Experience modeling or simulating physical systems.
• Ability to obtain an Interim Secret U.S. government issued Security Clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Create high fidelity simulations and models for missile design, performance assessment, and flight test support.
• Develop and implement modeling solutions; conduct trade studies and evaluate system and subsystem performance.
• Work in a team environment; provide guidance to other team members.
• Collaborate with GNC, Signal Processing, and other performance personnel to perform simulations.
• Develop approaches and solutions across projects from concept to fielded product.
