Job summary

RTX seeks a Systems Engineer I - Modeling, Simulation & Analysis in Tucson, AZ to join a multidisciplinary team in missile and sensor performance simulations. You will build high-fidelity models, perform trade studies, and collaborate across GNC, signal processing, and defense engineers.

The role requires a STEM bachelor's, experience with C/C++, Python or MATLAB, and the ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance. Onsite work in Tucson with relocation assistance and benefits.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Physics, Mathematics, or related STEM field.
• Experience applying object-oriented software design and programming in C or C++.
• Experience using Python or MATLAB for evaluation of data sets.
• Experience modeling or simulating physical systems.
• Experience in modeling, simulation, statistics, and/or analysis for engineering solutions.
• Ability to obtain an Interim Secret clearance prior to start date; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Create high fidelity simulations and models for missile design, performance assessment, and flight test support.
• Develop and implement modeling solutions, and conduct trade studies on system performance.
• Work in a team environment, guiding other team members as needed.
• Collaborate with GNC, Signal Processing, and other performance personnel on simulation activities.
• Develop approaches across programs from concept to fielded product.
• Provide technical expertise for simulation products and interact with government counterparts as needed.
