Penske is seeking a Mobile Technician II to repair and diagnose major components on tractor-trailer equipment, with PM service and component replacements as directed by the Asset Supervisor. The role requires class CDL with air brake certification, DOT readiness, map-reading ability, and independent work capability.

Responsibilities include diagnosing engines, transmissions, brakes, HVAC, and electrical systems, road testing, parts identification, and inventory control while maintaining safety

Qualificações

• 2-4 years practical experience with tractor trailer maintenance.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Vocational/Technical or certification preferred.
• Specialized training in repair and replacement of vehicle components preferred.
• Proficiency in the use of shop tools required.
• Current CDL license with air brake certification required. Applicants must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in their state of residence.
• Willingness to acquire CDL if you do not have one.
• DOT medical card and/or ability to obtain DOT medical card prior to commencing work.
• Ability to read a map.
• Ability to operate a 26,000 non-articulated vehicle safely and professionally.
• Ability to utilize mapping tools (e.g. Waze).
• Self starter who is able to work with minimal direct oversight.
• Basic computer skills required for data entry into maintenance systems.
• Ability to work in non-climate controlled conditions required.
• The associate must understand and comply with company safety and maintenance policies.

Responsabilidades

• Repair and diagnose major components with minimal supervision.
• Perform PM service and diagnose engines, transmissions, brakes, HVAC, and electrical systems.
• Road test vehicles as needed to diagnose malfunctions.
• Identify needed parts and manage on-site inventory.
• Maintain safe, clean work area and comply with safety rules.
• Travel as required and coordinate with customers and supervisors.
